How do I park in Sweden?
The easiest way to park in Sweden is with Express-Parken using direct payment. The available direct payment methods in Sweden are debit and credit cards, ApplePay, GooglePay, and Swish. With Express-Parken, you can park immediately without having to create a Parkster account. A service fee of 0.50 EUR is charged per parking transaction with Express-Parken. Do you have a registered German Parkster account and want to use Express-Parken in Sweden? * Log out of your account. * Close the app and reopen it. * Select Sweden as the country and tap "Get started!". To set up the payment method, tap "More" in the bottom right corner and then "Select payment method". To register your vehicle, go to "Vehicles" at the bottom of the app and then tap "Add new vehicle". Would you prefer to park in Sweden with a registered Parkster account instead of using Express? * Log out of your German or Austrian Parkster account. This can be easily done in the app under "More - Log out". * Now select Sweden as the country. * Tap "Get started!", "More", "Select payment method". * At the bottom of all listed payment methods, you will find "Create Parkster account". Tap on it and register with your details. * You can change the language in the app through your phone settings. Please note that an email address and a phone number can only be registered once in the Parkster system. You cannot use an email address and phone number that are already registered in the German or Austrian account a second time. * During registration, you will be asked for a Bank ID. Tap "I don't have a Bank ID". * Enter your name and address. Tap "Save". You will be redirected to our payment service provider's page. * Fill in your debit or credit card details. Currently, this payment method is the only one offered for a registered account in Sweden.

How do I park abroad with Parkster? (Cross Country)
With just one Parkster account, you can park and pay in all countries where Parkster operates. Currently, parking in several countries with a private account is only possible with Parkster Complete. Starting a parking session abroad: 1. Open the Parkster app. 2. Search for the desired parking space, either via "Nearby" or enter a location name or a zone code in the search window. 3. Tap on the displayed zone code with the parking space designation to see the details. 4. Set the desired parking time using the slider or alternatively via the clock icon (Android) or the calendar display (iOS). The estimated costs for the selected parking duration will be shown right below. 5. Tap on "Continue" to select your vehicle and start the parking session. Please note: You cannot start a parking session abroad if Parkster Complete is not activated. All costs will be calculated in the local currency of the country where you are parking. Example: A German user parks in Sweden ➡️ the parking fee will be charged in SEK. If you have a German or Austrian account and are parking in Sweden, for example, you can select or change one of the following payment methods before starting the parking session: * Credit or debit card * Apple Pay * PayPal For your first parking session in a new country, you must accept the terms of use and the privacy policy of that country. This is only required once per country.   ❌Are you receiving an error message when trying to start a parking session abroad? Click here.
Problems with Cross Country Parking (Error Messages & Solutions)
In some cases, parking abroad is not possible for certain users. Please note that there are specific zones and scenarios where cross-country parking is generally not allowed: * Not all camera-monitored parking areas (ANPR zones) abroad are supported. * Payment for electric vehicle charging sessions is currently not supported abroad. * If the selected zone in the vacation country does not allow direct payment, the parking process cannot be initiated. For some credit and debit cards, cross-country parking is currently blocked or declined for technical reasons. If your card is declined abroad, please first try an alternative credit card or another direct payment method. If that doesn't help or you have no other options, here are the two quickest emergency solutions: Option 1: Express Parking (Fastest solution without registration) * Log out of your current Parkster account in the app. * Completely close the app and reopen it. * Select your vacation country (e.g., Sweden) and tap "Let's go!". * Set up payment method: Tap "More" in the bottom right and then "Select payment method". * Add vehicle: Go to "Vehicles" at the bottom of the app and tap "Add new vehicle". Option 2: Create a separate foreign account (e.g., for Sweden) * Log out of your German or Austrian Parkster account ("More" ➡️ "Log out"). * Select the vacation country as the new country (e.g., Sweden). * Tap "Let's go!" ➡️ "More" ➡️ "Select payment method". * Scroll all the way down, tap "Create Parkster account" and register. ⚠️ Important when registering abroad (e.g., Sweden): * During registration, you will be asked for a Bank ID. Tap "I don't have a Bank ID". * Enter your name and address. Tap "Save". You will be redirected to our payment service provider's page. * Fill in your debit or credit card details. Currently, this payment method is the only one offered for a registered account in Sweden. 💡 Important technical limitations for Option 2: * Contact details: Each email address and phone number can only be registered once in the Parkster system. Therefore, you must use a different email address and phone number for the foreign account than for your home account. * Language: You can easily change the app's language through your smartphone's general system settings.
