In some cities, electric vehicles are allowed to park for free, but since these special regulations vary greatly by location, please check the website of the respective city in advance.

Example: The 3-Hour Regulation in Bavaria
In Bavaria, electric vehicles can park for free for the first three hours in state and municipal parking spaces. To do this, simply place a parking disc clearly visible behind your windshield. You do not need to start a parking session via the app or a ticket machine for these first three hours. However, if you plan to park for longer than three hours, you must purchase a regular parking ticket for the additional time.

Where does this regulation not apply?
This regulation applies exclusively to public (state or municipal) parking areas. Private parking operators typically do not offer such discounts.
